Needlecrafts
It all began when our grandmother pulled us into her lap and let us help her sew. She taught us how to use a sewing machine, knit, and cross-stitch before we could drive. The rest we picked up along the way. While Cat works almost exclusively with thread and fabric, Lizz prefers to create custom pieces that incorporate mixed media. Check out the gallery below!
Henna Art
Some hobbies leap headfirst into our lives. Henna tip-toed its way in. I encountered this ancient body art several times throughout my life, but it wasn’t until my 20’s that I got hooked and haven’t looked back since. Not only does henna have a rich history across several ancient and modern cultures, it is a feminine and healing art whose beauty lies in its ephemeral nature. In many ways, henna art saved my life and my sense of self.
